Dr. Owen Anderson

Owen Anderson, Ph. D., is an author, professional coach and developer of the “neural system” for training endurance runners, a program which de-emphasizes training volume, focuses on high-quality running and strength workouts. He earned a B. S. in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island in 1975. Owen received his doctorate in Zoology/Physiology from Michigan State University in 1983. He is the author of four books on running  and is the CEO of the non-profit foundation, Lansing Moves the World, which promotes the health, safety, and fitness of children around the world. Dr. Anderson also started the web site, www.educatedrunner.com to give runners of all ages and ability levels factual information about training, sports nutrition, and injury prevention.

Meir Kaniel, Lav L’Noar’s marathon coordinator in America trained this year as a marathon running coach with Owen Anderson.  Kav L’Noar is honored to include Dr. Anderson’s message to our marathon runners and volunteers  in this video.

Low self-esteem can make it difficult to be your authentic self in a relationship. You may put considerable effort into being likeable or attractive. For example, you may work hard at entertaining others or to be interesting. Or, perhaps you always try to look your best.
