MISSION
STATEMENT:
Kav L’Noar provides English-speaking
families living in Israel with children ages 11-18 the support services needed
to address their behavioral and emotional issues. Our goal is to help families
build the strongest and most resilient relationships possible by offering
parents and their children a place where they can comfortably share and address
their concerns.
ABOUT US:
Founded in 2004 as an Amuta, Kav
L’Noar’s innovative service has become the central address to help the
English-speaking family confronting “at risk” issues with their adolescent children. Kav L’Noar offers culturally
sensitive, English-speaking assistance through clinical
services, mentor
programs, subsidized counseling & community education. Our staff and professional referrals are both English and Hebrew speakers and are
sensitive to the needs of the religious population.
WHO DOES KAV L’NOAR SERVE:
Our
families* come from all
segments of the English-speaking community in Israel. What they all share in common are
their issues with their children, and their desire to work together as a
family. Located in Jerusalem, our families come from Jerusalem and its
surrounding communities, including Gush Etzion, Beitar, Bet Shemesh, Maale
Adumim, Mitzpe Yericho, Kochav Yaakov, Bet El, Telz Stone, Shaalavim, Modiin,
and many more.
WHAT MAKES KAV L’NOAR UNIQUE:
All parents face challenges when raising
a teenager. Many of these adolescents show signs of, or are already engaging in
at-risk behavior. When a teenager is in crisis the entire family is affected.
For the English speaking family in Israel the problem is compounded by a
cultural divide that often leaves families feeling helpless and misunderstood.
Kav L’Noar works with families, incorporating a holistic approach. We
provide emotional support and practical recommendations to help each family’s
individual needs. We connect with the family from the first phone call
through the intake/assessment process and the development of a treatment plan.
We stay with the family as long as they want us to be involved in their
lives.
