We are delighted to welcome Joy Epstein and Dovid Lessin as our newest consulting family therapists. Each will report to our Clinical Supervisor, Rina Berkus, and will be responsible for the full range of clinical services that we offer our families, i.e. intake & assessment, development of treatment plan and therapeutic intervention.
Joy completed her MSW at Yeshiva University as well as a Post Masters Training & Mentorship in Family Systems Theory. Most recently, in addition to her private family practice, she served for six years as the Clinical Supervisor for the Department of Social Services at Nefesh B’Nefesh. Previously, Joy was a clinical social worker for the Regional Council of Gush Etzion where she was responsible for individuals and families in distress and youth at risk. She has also facilitated therapeutic groups for preadolescent boys and seminars on parenting adolescents. “I am excited to offer my experience as a couples and family therapist with a systemic approach to complement the cutting edge treatment offered by Kav L’Noar to its families.”
Dovid graduated Yeshiva University as a psychology major and completed a Masters and clinical internship at the Family Institute at Neve Yerushalayim where he specialized in the area of ‘domestic violence.’ He currently serves as a counselor to students at Yeshivat Shaalvim and also maintains a private practice. When asked about his new position, Dovid responded: “I am grateful to work in an environment that treats the family as a whole unit, approaching challenges from every angle. It’s a great recipe for success.”
